IL MITO DI NARCISO TRA PASSATO PRESENTE E FUTURO / THE MYTH OF NARCISSUS BETWEEN PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE /

... ..Il mito di Narciso ci fa capire quanto sia importante da sempre per l'uomo, riuscire a vedere la propria immagine riflessa. Infatti tentativi in questa direzione, ci sono stati fin dall'epoca Neolitica ( 1700-800 a.C). Ma lo Specchio come oggetto d'arte nasce con la civiltà egizia, mentre quello di tipo moderno, ottenuto dal vetro, compare solo nel XVI secolo, a Venezia. Da questo momento , lo specchio si diffonde sempre più come complemento d'arredo, oltre che come oggetto portatile e personale, trovando il momento di massima fortuna nel Settecento, il secolo che ama la luce. Dopo quest'epoca il ruolo dello specchio non sarà più lo stesso, ma le tipologie del passato continueranno a ripetersi per tutto l'Ottocento.
