Buongiorno nostri Cari Lettori! Eccoci pronti a parlare della grande influenza che Napoleone III ebbe sugli arredi tanto da permetterci di utilizzare il termine 'Designer' nel post precedente..

A differenza del Conciliante Luigi Filippo, Napoleone III (1850-1870) si schierò apertamente a favore del passato classico come elemento di consolidamento del potere. Ci fu così un ritorno ai canoni di Luigi XIV e ai motivi decorativi Luigi XV e Luigi XVI.

Hello Our Dear Readers! We are ready to talk about the great influence that Napoleon III had the furnishings so as to enable us to use the term 'designer' in the previous post ..  

Unlike the conciliatory Louis Philippe, Napoleon III (1850-1870) openly sided in favor of the classical past as part of the consolidation of power. There was thus a return to the canons of Louis XIV and the decorative motifs Louis XV and Louis XVI.

I Legni scuri, in particolare mogano ed ebano, tornarono in auge, accostati però a nuovi materiali come la ghisa che dava un tocco di attualità ai mobili, ed avorio e madreperla, usati per creare un forte contrasto tra le loro superfici opaline e quelle del legno bruno.

Anche le decorazioni in bronzo dorato, segno di prestigio sociale e di valore del mobile non mancarono e vi fu un ritono alle impiallacciature e agli intarsi complessi, ispirati alla tecnica del famoso ebanista francese 'Charles Boulle' per creare quell'effetto di fastosa decadenza che può essere considerato il marchio distintivo degli arredi del Secondo Impero.

The Dark woods, especially mahogany and ebony, came back into vogue, however, combined with new materials such as cast iron which gave him a touch of relevance to furniture, and ivory and mother of pearl, used to create a strong contrast between their surfaces and those of opal brown wood.  Even the decorations in gilt bronze, a sign of social prestige and value of the furniture no lack and there was a return to the veneers and inlays complex, inspired by the technique of the famous French Cabinetmaker 'Charles Boulle' to create that effect of lavish decadence that can be considered the hallmark of the furniture of the Second Empire.

Buon Lunedì Nostri Cari Lettori! Abbiamo deciso di dedicare il post di oggi ad un bellissimo oggetto comune nel passato ma oggi scomparso..ci riferiamo alla Brocca con Catino il cui ricordo a casa dei nonni riaffiorirà nelle vostre menti sicuramente.

Oggetto d'uso comune per la estrema utilità nella cura ed igiene della persona, La Brocca con Catino affiora nelle sue prime vesti alla fine del 1400 per poi svilupparsi e diffondersi sino al 1950.

Gli Esemplari "meno belli" erano in metallo smaltato come questo..

Happy Monday Our Dear Readers! We decided to dedicate today's post to a beautiful object common in the past but now missing .. we refer to the Pitcher with Basin whose memory of our grandparents at home riaffiorirà in your minds for sure.  

Object of common use for the extremely useful in the care and hygiene of the person, Pitcher with Basin born at the end of 1400s and  develops and spreads until 1950s.  

The specimens less beautiful were enameled metal like this..

  

mentre, la Produzione Migliore era in ceramica, bianca o colorata, spesso decorata, come, la nostra Splendida Brocca con Catino in porcellana francese 'Alphand Sarreguemines' datata 1930..

Questo Raffinato Oggetto, però, deve la sua bellezza ed utilità anche e soprattutto alla sua struttura portante in ferro color nerofumo chiamata appunto 'Portacatino-Lavamani' e che abbiamo voluto rappresentarvi con un originale disegno che ne  raffigura i primissimi modelli del 1500.
